The Connecticut Brakettes are the current 2007 ASA Women's Fastpitch NATIONAL CHAMPION. Current and former Brakette players include an outstanding number of All-Americans and Olympians, including nearly 20 players in the ASA Hall of Fame. The partnership is designed to increase exposure of the historical franchise to our young players here in Westchester while bringing top-level instruction right to their doorstep.

Starting our 14th Year, the Danbury Westerners are one of 12 teams in The New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). The Westerners play a 2-month season in June and July, with the Playoffs and League Championships in August. Our players, who are Major League professional prospects, are recruited from colleges and universities around the country. They hone their skills in this summer wooden bat league, whose season consists of 42 games, 21 home and 21 away, in less than 60 days. We are based in Danbury, CT and travel throughout all six New England States.
Former Danbury Westerners players who are now in the MLB system are: Matt DeSalvo-Pitcher, New York Yankees; Jason Bergmann, Pitcher, Washington Nationals; Mark Malaska, Pitcher, Tampa Bay and Boston Red Sox. The Westerners play all home games at Rogers Park in Danbury, CT.
